Old dwarfs, new bases
It's been a while since I last posted. Been a busy time with holidays, work and I unfortunately had something wrong with my eyes for about a week which put a stop to any painting. Another problem I had was deciding on how to base my dwarfs. My current basing is to paint them brown then stick on some static grass followed by tufts or flowers. Not very exciting but it gets the job done. Since the old world has taken over I wanted to rebase my dwarfs in the hopes of one day using them. I've tried out a few ideas but nothing was really working for me (I did stumble across something I'd like to use for my Bretonnia army). My dwarfs are quite a colourful bunch and I always imagined them living in a nice meadow area brewing up some beer but I was struggling to get the look I wanted. In a last desperate act I went to the gaming store and picked up some army painter grass to try out. The results are ok but I still feel like they need something either some soil or leaves to break up...
