Four dwarfs

 Well my original goal was to have a whole army painted within the next 10 days for an event on the 11th. So far I've painted a unit which to be completely honest isn't that big a surprise. Luckily I've my trusty dwarfs to fall back on and after some list writing I needed another 4 to fill out a unit.

I'm really happy with how the chaos army is coming together but I needed a change and nothing makes me happier than some classic dwarfs. I'm not sure about the blue and green, don't think I'll be using that combo again, and the red and yellow goes against my whole dwarfen colour scheme but they do make a great little line up. I'm always tempted to expand the army with a few more units but that would be a very costly endeavour. Obviously I need an anvil of doom and while I do like the current one it's not the one I'm after. eBay prices are just to high to justify but I live in hope of a made to order coming at some point. Slayers I can order up from GW but then I need to find some painting time so probably after the chaos army. A few ranged units would also be nice but again building a unit at eBay prices is tough to take. What I really want though is a unit of miners maybe 15 or so. With enough money all this is possible but I can currently run my army at 2400 points without going mad on runes so I don't know where I would fit everything in. Problems for another day.

Unfortunately at the moment it looks like the next event will be cancelled but that's ok I could use the painting time. I'd like to think I'm over the worst of the painting challenges for chaos so everything should go quiet smoothly. I also have a couple of weeks coming up when the wife and daughter will be away so I should be able to crack on with things then. I'm currently working on the dragon ogres and after a little delay while I worked out what colours to use I'm ready to start painting again, now I just need some free time.
