40 Marauders

 I knew trying to paint 40 at once was going to be rough but it really does kill your desire to paint. To be fair I did have a few things cutting into my painting time these last couple of weeks so I'm happy with where things currently stand.

I successfully painted up the fur, tunics and the base coats on the capes. I definitely overworked the fur, the tunics could have used more definition and I'm worried about the capes looking flat. It briefly crossed my mind to try wet blending the capes but I struggle to do one small area so 40 awkward shaped areas seemed like a bad idea.

In the end I went with my scruffy brush that can't keep a point and worked up some scratchy texture which turned out alright. After doing four marauders I decided the time was right to switch to painting groups of four rather than 40. At the moment motivation is low and finishing on time seems very unlikely so I'm hoping that getting some models completed will be the boost I need to power through. I really need to decide on a basing scheme for them.
