Hobgoblin
Quick little painting of a knightmare miniatures Hobgoblin.
I got him from one of the original Kickstarters but he's sat unpainted since then. I did make an attempt a few years ago but it wasn't turning out how I imagined so he was stripped and put back into the pile.
I've been thinking about painting some skaven but I'm not sure how to paint the warpstone. It needs to be green and glowing although I can't decide on if it should be an internal glow or glowing on the edges. The hobgoblins sword was the perfect test.
I got a little carried away and decided on glowing edges but with lightning in the middle. Not very helpful for deciding on how to paint warpstone and the internal glow wasn't really painted so the lightning doesn't really work. Think I'll go with glowing edges though it should be easier to paint.
The hobgoblin turned out nice although the photos turned out grainy for some reason. I was going to paint the armour as steel but it looked boring so went with red. My knightmare miniatures army is on hold right now but this was a fun bit of practice.
Thanks for reading.
