Demigryph knights
With only 11 weeks left on the countdown I got my demigryph knights finished. It's also became apparent that there is no way I would have been finished for the 1st of March although I'm quietly confident that I'll have a fully painted army by May. Just need to say focused.
I really enjoyed painting these guys once I got into it. Lots of dry brushing which I normally don't get on well with but it seems to have worked out this time. Despite the regular acrylics being good to work with I did struggle with the army painter metallics which has not great coverage. I used two thin coats paint on the reds which was really nice after all the trouble I had with their bone colours. A shipment of army painter red came in this week so I'll be able to compare how they are and see which I prefer.
Next up will be a wizard then I better get started on the road wardens. I'm planning on using ten but working in groups of five is probably the way to go. I've been down this road enough times to know not to push my attention span. Although I've been to the store the tournament is in a few times it's not really enough for me to feel comfortable. Luckily I have a cunning plan to get around this. All I need to do is buy something every month leading up to the tournament to ease myself in. Let's face it I'm going to buy hobby stuff anyway so it might as well serve a purpose.
With that I'll leave you with a shot of the army so far. Still need to come up with some lore for them so a bit of background reading for inspiration is required.
Thanks for reading.
