Bright wizard
Too bright really at least he'll stand out from the crowd. Quite quick to paint and I have four other wizards to paint up if I'm not happy how he looks although that will have to wait until I've got everything else done before starting on them.
I wanted to tie him in with the rest of the army so used red and yellow as a base. My slaves to darkness army have purple capes which I thought would look good but I used a different paint so it's far brighter than I intended. Turns out the army painter fanatic purples are far better than the yellows so that's good to know hopefully the rest of the range follows that trend.
Unfortunately I did drop him near the end of the painting which resulted in a broken staff. I think a drop of plastic cement solved the problem but I'm not brave enough to give it more than a slight jiggle to see if it holds.
Work on the rest of the army is progressing well. The steam tank and road wardens have been rebased with magnets fitted. I'm still working out how to paint the general and the warrior priest is still waiting to be found, I know he's here somewhere.
With 10 weeks to go things are looking good and so far I've remained distraction free. Yeah nothing else has been taking up my hobby time.
Thanks for reading.
