Demigryph standard

One week until my Empire army needs to be finished and I still have one hero to paint, I seem to remember being in this position before. I wrote two lists, one with a Pegasus the other with an already painted steam tank, just incase I ran out of painting time. The lists were due today but I like to live dangerously so submitted the list that wasn't ready.

I got the demigryph standard bearer done bumping the unit up to four which should be powerful enough to smash through anything. Only had two problems while painting him, first I snapped the top of the standard then I couldn't remember which gold paints I used. In the end I picked the wrong ones but they looked better so it's not too bad. When taking the pictures I dropped a box onto one of the other lances snapping the top then noticed one of the other lances was bent. I've done a quick fix tonight (it's after midnight I should really get to bed) and do a better job on them tomorrow.

I also got the baggage train painted. It's not great but I never had the time or inspiration to do something better. I've been looking at 3d prints from Etsy to represent it and while there are some really nice models there I'd rather do something unique. That's a problem for the future though.

Lastly I decided to treat myself to a mini I've always wanted Arbaal the undefeated. When he came up on eBay at a not too stupid price I stuck a bid on and won. I'm not sure when I'll have time to strip and paint him but it's something I'm looking forward to. I also spent all my GW vouchers on the classic Kev Adams orcs that are out on made to order. I like orcs but always hated the plastic ones so never bothered to collect an army this seemed like a perfect opportunity to start.
