At least the bathroom is painted
I've been lucky enough to get two weeks alone with only two big jobs to do and two models to paint. Sounds great right? Unfortunately the first week is gone and due to me being unable to decide on what to do first I ended up spending most of the week doing nothing. I'll need to be more focused this week.
One of the big jobs did get done (see title for more information) and the wagon of the war wagon is also done. I think there were a few spots I wanted to tidy up but it's varnished now and that's that.
The horses are also coming along nicely. They do have a lot of little details I'm sure they will paint up quite quickly though once I get started on them. It's the crew I'm not looking forward to so many details on them and once they are stuck in the wagon you won't see any of them. Once I start painting them I'm hoping they won't be so daunting but I'm pretty sure it's going to suck.
The general and his gryphon should be ok I still need to fill in all the gaps but I'm confident they will paint up nicely. I have until the 9th so four weeks, I can do that, I just need to focus.
I have been thinking about my painting lately. It's always in the back of my mind when I'm working on something that it's for gaming with. I like to have a cohesive scheme and everything needs to be part of an army list. I was very focused on painting skaven for blood bowl before COVID came along. When I thought I might get to an AoS event I put a lot of effort into my chaos army, the war shrine and giant are some of my favourite minis I've painted. When that became unlikely I moved away from them until the old world came along. Now I've actually been to an event and if the next one is much the same I don't know if I'd do it again. If that's the case what's my reason for painting? Guess I'll find out next month. Might be a good excuse to start on one of my old projects again.
Thanks for reading.
