Witch elf

 A mini that took over nine years to paint. Given the time it's taken I would have expected it to look a lot better but a painted mini is always better than an unpainted one.

I remember wanting to try out some of the coloured metallics I picked up so went with purple chainmail. I've never used it since although it doesn't look too bad. Many years later I decided on red for the sword and shield and pink for the hair. She turned out alright apart from the face which makes her look a little psychotic which I guess is fitting.

 I really enjoy painting up these old one off minis and I need to get back to painting the fantasy adventure range at some point. For now I have two gaming opportunities I could possibly go to, a spearhead and an old world event. For the spearhead event I would need to paint up five chaos knights but it's in February and I don't trust myself to get it done. I'd also need to buy and learn the rules which I think would be doable. The old world event is in march but I need to paint quite a bit more and ideally buy a war wagon. I think I will be ok with the rules and I got the ok from the missus so no reason I can't right? Unfortunately my usual self sabotage has returned and I've gone from switching back and forth between demigryph and chaos knights to starting another run at xcom 2. Wish me luck I'm going to need it.
